Educational Qualification:

  • General Candidates: Graduation Degree from a recognized university or equivalent.

  • Ex-Servicemen: Must either be a graduate from a recognized university or have passed the matriculation or equivalent examination of the Armed Forces with at least 15 years of defence service.

Language Proficiency: Candidates applying for a specific office must be fluent in the language spoken in that state or any of the states under that office’s jurisdiction. This includes reading, writing, speaking, and understanding the language.

  5. A person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African countries (Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia, Vietnam) intending to permanently settle in India.

Candidates in categories (ii), (iii), (iv), and (v) must have a certificate of eligibility issued by the Government of India. Candidates who require this certificate may be admitted to the examination, but the appointment offer will be given only after the certificate is issued.
